Tasting- High Vines Pinot Noir

Name: High Vines Pinot Noir
Variety: Pinot Noir
Region: Languedoc Roussillon
Country: France
Year: 2008
Price: $12.99

Bottler Review: High Vines Pinot Noir is a selection of small, carefully crafted blends from the best high altitude vineyards. A great value from the sunny South of France.

My Review: This was my first ever bottle of Pinot Noir. I had always mistaken it as a wine similar to the white Pinot Grigio, which I do not like very much. My friend actually insisted I try a bottle and I would love it. She was right. This is a great light bodied red that pairs well with fish or steak. This particular Pinot Noir had hints of raspberries and light cherries that were subtle enough to make this a sipping wine.

I tasted this wine with salmon.
