Tasting- DaVinci Chianti

Name: DaVinci Chianti
Variety: Sagiovese Blend
Region: Tuscany
Country: Italy
Year: 2010
Price: $13.49

Bottler Review: The town of Vinci is home to the world class wines of Cantine Leonardo DaVinci, a cooperative of over 200 individual growers. Nestled between Florence, Pisa and Siena in the Chianti Region of Tuscany, Cantine Leonardo DaVinci produced outstanding wines for hillside vineyards tended for generations. Expertly crafted, DaVinci Chianti is crimson red with intense aromas of ripe fruit and flavors of fresh strawberry and plum.

My Review: Normally for me, a Chianti would be almost too strong and not enjoyable from my past experiences. My boyfriend actually picked this one out for us to give one more try to Chianti. We were lucky he did. This outweighed all my past experiences with too dry and heavy of a Chianti that left me just wanting a tall glass of water. This bottle paired really well with steaks and potatoes we had that night for dinner. Overall a great wine for the price.

I had this wine with steak and potatoes.
