Vintage Cellar Review: A unique blend of four of the seven traditional red Bordeaux varietals. The black cherry, vanilla and sweet tobacco aromas are enhanced with rosemary and backing spice notes. Complex and concentrated black cherry and red currant flavors are integrated with rich oak and dark chocolate on the finish. Supple tannins and balanced acidity provide excellent structure to this elegant and complex blend.

My Review: This wine had a velvety structure with chocolaty tannins that were almost irresistible. Merlot is my all time favorite wine, so having it mixed with Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux reds, was a dream come true. This wines vintage also is was makes it so perfect, due to the exceptional growing season experienced in 2005 for this particular type of wine.

I did not try this wine with any food.
